GRILLO MÀS has been very popular on the market since summer 2023. But what exactly is GRILLO MÀS and how does it work?
GRILLO MÀS is sodium metabisulphite which helps to improve the shelf life of prawns and shrimps. It also blocks an enzyme that causes melanosis – the formation of black pigments by the enzyme polyphenol oxidase, a natural component of shrimps. This is ensured, among other things, by the high degree of purity with at least 98.7 % sodium pyrosulphite. A big plus for the long edibility of prawns and shrimps.
