Properties
Oleum is a type of sulphuric acid with surplus sulphur trioxide, which is therefore also known as fuming sulphuric acid.

Application
Oleum is mainly used in the chemical-technical industry, for instance in the manufacture of organic intermediate products, in the chemical fibre industry, for the accumulation of sulphuric acids by means of recycling procedures and in the manufacture of liquid sulphur trioxide.
