Two-day B@TIS status seminar on battery research

Exciting insights into battery research: Our colleagues were part of the status seminar of the BMBF funding measure B@TS and exchanged ideas with other stakeholders on site.
Our colleagues Christoph Müller and Petra Gehrke took part in the status seminar of the BMBF funding measure B@TS in Cologne last week. The aim of the measure is to facilitate innovation and provide new impetus through expertise in science and industry.

The event at the beginning of April focused on the research and development of battery technologies that will enable a technologically superior, competitive and sustainable battery value chain.
Particular attention was paid to the seven zinc-based battery projects that were presented at the event. The projects in detail are:
ZIB2, ZiMaBat, ORRCABATT, OptiABBY, ZILUBAT-NEU, WaZaBi and ZinCycle

We are proud to be involved in ZIB2, ZiMaBat and ZinCycle as a project partner and to participate in ORRCABATT and WaZaBi. Together with many committed players, we are actively shaping the future of battery technology.

With 118 participants on site and over 200 guests connected online, the seminar was also a strong signal of the relevance of battery research in Germany – and the first major “class reunion” of the B@TS initiative.

We enjoyed inspiring insights, new impulses and an intensive exchange with project partners and experts from the entire community!
