Robus Capital Acquires an 80% Stake in RHEINZINK

Datteln / Frankfurt am Main, 28 August 2026 – GRILLO-Werke AG and Robus Capital today announce the full completion of the transaction: with effect from today, Robus Capital has acquired 80 %of the shares in RHEINZINK GmbH & Co. KG, the global market leader in titanium zinc. The transfer of the shares as part of a share deal has been completed. GRILLO-Werke AG remains a shareholder with a minority stake of 20 %. The parties have not disclosed the financial terms of the transaction.
Background to the transaction
GRILLO-Werke AG, the Duisburg-based family-owned company and previous sole owner of RHEINZINK, has decided, as part of a strategic realignment of its investment portfolio, to transfer a majority stake in RHEINZINK to Robus Capital. In Robus Capital, RHEINZINK has secured the support of an institutional investor that has been following the evolution of the company for several years and specialises in medium-sized industrial companies in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). Robus Capital has the necessary experience and financial strength to drive RHEINZINK’s further development in a forward-looking manner. GRILLO-Werke AG retains a 20 % stake in RHEINZINK as a minority shareholder.
The agreement (signing) was reached a few weeks ago. Following the completion of the regulatory approval processes, including the competition law review and the fulfillment of the remaining conditions, the transaction was formally completed today.
RHEINZINK – Global market leader in titanium zinc
RHEINZINK GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1966 in Datteln (North Rhine-Westphalia) and has since developed into the world’s leading brand for titanium zinc. At its production and administrative site in Datteln, the company manufactures high-quality products for roofing, façade cladding, roof drainage and architectural applications.
RHEINZINK employs just under 500 employees and has a presence in more than 30 countries across five continents through its subsidiaries and sales offices.

Outlook
RHEINZINK will continue to operate as an independent company with its headquarters in Datteln. The Datteln site, all international subsidiaries and the existing product portfolio will remain unchanged.
Over the coming months, Robus Capital will work with the RHEINZINK management team to set up a framework for the company’s strategic development. The aim is to further strengthen RHEINZINK’s position as a global innovation leader in the titanium zinc industry and to expand its international market position in the long term.
