Grillo wins the VARTA Supplier Sustainability Award 2023

GRILLO wins the VARTA Suppliers Sustainability Awards 2023 for reducing the CO2 footprint of its zinc powder.

We at GRILLO have been systematically recording the climate-relevant emissions of our activities for several years now. The Corporate Carbon Footprint survey regularly shows us that the greatest lever by far for reducing the carbon footprint of our zinc powder – in addition to our own efforts to constantly reduce emissions – is the primary zinc used.

As a result, we have worked closely with our raw material suppliers to find a way of sourcing our primary zinc with a significantly reduced footprint and offering our zinc products in a CO2-reduced form with ECO ZINC. This year, VARTA honoured us with the Environmental Protection Award for this commitment. We look forward to continuing to be a part of sustainable battery technology in the future.
