GRILLO in interview: Zinc materials for new battery applications

Demand for zinc-based solutions is gaining notable momentum – particularly in areas such as data centers, printed batteries, smart labels, home storage, and long-duration energy storage. In the interview, Christoph Müller explains which materials are needed and why purity, customizability, and security of supply are decisive factors.

GRILLO has been supporting the battery industry for decades – from zinc sheets for zinc-carbon batteries and zinc powder for alkaline and primary batteries to materials for rechargeable zinc battery systems. Today, the product range includes zinc powder, zinc foil, zinc oxide, and other zinc-based materials, all of which can be individually tailored to specific battery requirements.
