Information about our security measures
GRILLO-Werke AG operates production facilities at the locations listed below that handle hazardous substances. These sites are subject to the additional obligations set out in the Hazardous Incident Ordinance (Störfall-Verordnung). To this end, safety reports are available detailing concepts for preventing hazardous incidents as well as internal and external emergency plans that are regularly updated and added to in consultation with the authorities.
All facilities are continuously inspected and approved by the competent authorities in accordance with legal requirements. These permits take into account all environmental and safety-related aspects, such as plant safety, occupational health and safety, air pollution control and water protection, as well as waste prevention, recycling and disposal.
With this information, we would like to inform you about our safety measures and the correct behaviour in emergencies both inside and outside the sites.

As the competent authority, the Bezirksregierung Düsseldorf (Düsseldorf District Council) has inspected the operating facilities of Grillo-Werke AG pursuant to Section 7.1 of the Hazardous Incident Ordinance (§ 7 Abs. 1 Störfallverordnung).

The Braunschweig Trade Supervisory Office, as the competent authority, was notified of the operating areas of GRILLO Zinc Powder GmbH and GRILLO-Werke AG in accordance with Section 7 (1) of the Hazardous Incident Ordinance. The safety reports pursuant to Section 9 (1) of the Hazardous Incident Ordinance have been submitted to the authority.
The last on-site visit to GRILLO Zinc Powder GmbH took place on 17 November 2025.

Information about groundwater in Duisburg
Investigations at our Duisburg site have revealed elevated heavy metal levels in the groundwater around the GRILLO premises in the direction of August-Bebel-Platz.
