Corrosion protection solution
The implementation proved to be demanding: the entire executing workforce was trained and certified in cathodic corrosion protection. An integrated monitoring system also allows for continuous monitoring of corrosion protection. The proximity to the Baltic Sea, specific environmental conditions, and high safety standards on the power plant site added additional complexity to the renovation. Despite these challenges, the corrosion protection was successfully and efficiently carried out.
The result of these comprehensive renovation works is an effective, sustainable, and long-lasting corrosion protection, supported by innovative technology and environmentally friendly approaches. The power plant can now continue to operate efficiently, with minimized environmental impacts and a long-term protection solution for its infrastructure.
The proven cathodic corrosion protection effect achieved through the use of GZ-850/851 has been evident since its commissioning in 2009. In a C3 environment, this solution has proven to be optimal for the implementation process and long-lasting protection against rust. The architecturally outstanding structure remains unblemished in its external appearance while being durably protected, contributing to the long-term preservation of this significant public transportation hub.
