In April 2022, the Paris-based international rating agency EcoVadis awarded Grillo-Werke AG a silver medal for its sustainability practices. With 64 out of a maximum possible 100 points, Grillo-Werke AG is thus one of the TOP 12% of companies evaluated by ECOVADIS in the chemical and metal sectors. We especially distinguished ourselves in matters concerning the environment and working conditions, obtaining 70 of the 100 possible points in both categories.

This certification illustrates Grillo-Werke AG’s commitment to sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and makes this commitment visible for our internal and external stakeholders. We pay particular attention to our employees, junior staff, customers and suppliers, shareholders, business partners, authorities, trade unions, associations and the residents living in the vicinity of our sites.

Ratings according to international standards

EcoVadis is an independent and globally active provider of sustainability ratings, assessing the activities of participating companies in such areas as the environment, labour law and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Their rating methodology is based on internationally accepted standards such as quality management (ISO 9001), environmental management (ISO 14001), occupational health and safety management (ISO 18001) and energy management (ISO 50001) as well as on international CSR standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000 – taking into account 190 purchasing categories and 150 countries.
