GRILLO-Werke AG supports international exchange on sodium-zinc batteries
Reliable energy storage systems are a key building block for the energy supply of the future. Alongside established lithium-ion systems, alternative battery technologies are increasingly coming into focus. Sodium- and zinc-based battery systems are regarded as promising approaches to making energy storage safer, more resource-efficient and more economical in the future – particularly with regard to stationary applications and new industrial fields of use.
The NAATBatt International Sodium-Zinc Battery Workshop brought together experts from science and industry to discuss current developments, technical challenges and commercial perspectives for these technologies. The focus included advances in rechargeable sodium and zinc batteries, questions around material supply, and pathways from research to industrial application.
For GRILLO Zinc Powder, international exchange with the battery community is an important part of better understanding the requirements of future energy storage solutions and actively supporting developments in the field of zinc-based materials. As a supplier of high-quality zinc products, GRILLO contributes extensive materials expertise to a technology field that continues to gain importance worldwide.
The workshop once again demonstrated how dynamically the field of alternative battery technologies is developing – and the role zinc can play as a versatile material for sustainable energy storage solutions.
